Techniques

A technique is a way of printing, such as silkscreen or DTF, with a price for each print size it can do. The number of colours is part of the technique, not a separate choice, so ซิลค์สกรีน 1 สี (silkscreen, 1 colour) and ซิลค์สกรีน 2 สี (silkscreen, 2 colours) are two techniques. On the quote screen, techniques are the เทคนิค (Technique) choices of each print location in the เทคนิค (Technique) step, and a technique's price is what printing that location costs per shirt. On the printed quote, the technique's name is in รายละเอียดงาน (Job details), and beside each location's print size.

A technique on sale is a choice at a print location when it prices at least one of the sizes that location takes.

The table

The table's columns are ชื่อเทคนิค (Technique name), ขนาดงาน (Print sizes), ราคา/ตัว (Price per shirt), ค่าบล็อก (Block fee), สถานะ (Status) and จัดการ (Actions). Under a technique's name, in small type, is its description, if you entered one.

• ขนาดงาน (Print sizes) counts the sizes the technique prices, such as 3 ขนาด (3 sizes), counting only sizes on sale.
• ราคา/ตัว (Price per shirt) and ค่าบล็อก (Block fee) each sum the technique up in one figure: a single price, such as ฿150, when every size costs the same, or the lowest to the highest, such as ฿10–฿40, when they differ. Each size's price is in the edit panel.
• A technique without a block fee, such as DTF, shows ไม่มี (None) under ค่าบล็อก (Block fee).

The order of this table is the order of the เทคนิค (Technique) choices on the quote screen, and when a print location is chosen, the screen starts it on the first technique in this order that can print it. Put the technique you use most at the top, so the counter staff seldom have to change it.

Adding a technique

Press เพิ่มรายการใหม่ (Add new). The เพิ่มเทคนิคใหม่ (Add a new technique) panel opens, with these boxes:

• ชื่อเทคนิค (Technique name), which must be filled in, such as ซิลค์สกรีน 2 สี (silkscreen, 2 colours). Put the number of colours in the name. It is the name on the choice on the quote screen, and it is printed on the quote.
• คำอธิบาย (Description), which can be left empty, such as งานเยอะคุ้ม (worth it for large orders). It appears under the technique's name on its choice on the quote screen, but it is not printed on the quote.
• มีค่าบล็อก (Has a block fee): turn this switch on for work that needs a screen block made, such as silkscreen. See Block fees, below.
• The ราคาต่อขนาดงาน (บาท) (Price per print size, baht) table has a row for every print size on sale. Enter a price for each size the technique does, at least one. The next section explains how.

A new technique's panel starts with มีค่าบล็อก (Has a block fee) off and no price for any size.

Changing prices

1. Press แก้ไข (Edit) on the technique's row.
2. Change the figures under ราคา/ตัว (Price per shirt) or ค่าบล็อก (Block fee) for the sizes you want.
3. Press บันทึก (Save).

The price table has a row for each print size, from smallest to largest as on Print sizes. The ขนาด (Size) column gives each size's name and description.

• ราคา/ตัว (Price per shirt) is the cost of printing one shirt at one location. On the quote screen, the printing at every location is added into the shirt's price per shirt.
• An empty price box means the technique does not do that size. A size's row with no price is shaded grey, and on the quote screen that size is not offered with this technique. To stop doing a size, delete the figure in its price box; to start, enter a price. The grey shading follows the saved prices, so it does not change until you press บันทึก (Save).
• 0 does the size at ฿0. It does not mean the size is not done.

Type a price as a whole number of baht, such as 1250, with no ฿ and no comma. Satang cannot be entered.

New prices apply to quote screens opened after you save; one already open has to be reloaded first. See The admin area at a glance.

Block fees

A block fee is the charge for making the screen block. It is charged once per order, on each location it is charged for, and never multiplied by the number of shirts. Each print size has a block fee of its own.

• With มีค่าบล็อก on, the ค่าบล็อก (Block fee) boxes in the price table can be filled in, and one left empty in a row with a price is saved as ฿0. On the quote screen, a location using this technique has a คิดค่าบล็อก (Charge the block fee) box to tick, with the amount for the size chosen, even when the fee is ฿0.
• With มีค่าบล็อก off, the ค่าบล็อก (Block fee) boxes cannot be filled in, and every size's block fee is saved as 0. If you turn it on again later, enter the block fees again. On the quote screen there is no คิดค่าบล็อก (Charge the block fee) box.

A block fee entered in a row with no price is not saved, because the technique does not do that size. How the counter staff choose whether to charge the block fee is in Print locations, technique, size.

Retiring or deleting

Retiring or deleting a technique takes it off every location on the quote screen. A location it was the only technique for leaves the quote screen too, and goes into the รายการที่ยังไม่พร้อมใช้ในใบเสนอราคา (Not ready for quotes yet) box on ภาพรวม (Overview). When a save is refused

These messages appear in the panel, which stays open with everything you entered still in it. Put it right and press บันทึก (Save) again.

These two appear at the bottom of the screen:

• บันทึกไม่ได้ เพราะจะไม่เหลือเทคนิคสกรีนให้เลือกเลย (Cannot save: there would be no techniques left to choose), as you retire or delete a technique, means this is the last technique the quote screen can still use. Add another, or put one back on sale, first.
• บันทึกไม่ได้ เพราะจะไม่เหลือจุดสกรีนให้เลือกเลย (Cannot save: there would be no print locations left to choose), as you retire or delete a technique or delete some of its prices, means that without this technique or these prices, no location would be left that a technique can print. First give another technique a price for a size the locations take.
