Brands

A brand is the name a model is sold under, such as Gildan, and every model has one. On the quote screen, brands are the แบรนด์ (Brand) filter in the first step, and a model's brand is under its name on its card. The printed quote has the brand under the garment's name too.

The starting catalogue includes a brand called ไม่ระบุยี่ห้อ (No brand), for things that have none, such as aprons or tote bags.

The table

The table's columns are ชื่อแบรนด์ (Brand name), จำนวนรุ่น (Number of models), สถานะ (Status) and จัดการ (Actions). You edit a brand's name in the table itself; see Renaming a brand, below.

จำนวนรุ่น (Number of models) counts the brand's models, on sale or retired, such as 3 รุ่น (3 models). Press the count to open รุ่นเสื้อ (Models) filtered to the brand. A brand with no models yet shows 0 รุ่น (0 models), which cannot be pressed.

The order of this table is the order of the brands in the แบรนด์ (Brand) box and the กรองตามแบรนด์ (Filter by brand) filter on รุ่นเสื้อ (Models).

Adding a brand

  1. Press เพิ่มรายการใหม่ (Add new). The เพิ่มแบรนด์ใหม่ (Add a new brand) window opens in the middle of the screen.
  2. Enter the ชื่อแบรนด์ (Brand name), such as Gildan.
  3. Press เพิ่มรายการใหม่ (Add new) in the window.

Nothing warns you if the name is the same as a brand you already have, so check the table first.

A new brand does not appear on the quote screen until it has a model on sale. Add one on Models and choose the brand in its แบรนด์ (Brand) box.

Renaming a brand

  1. Change the name in the brand's row.
  2. Press บันทึก (Save) in the same row.

Each row saves on its own, so if you change several, press บันทึก (Save) on every row you changed. A name changed but not saved is lost when you leave the screen, and nothing asks first.

The new name appears on every model of the brand, on its card and on the quote, in quote screens opened after you save.

Retiring or deleting

Retiring or deleting a brand takes every one of its models off the quote screen too, even those still on sale. To stop selling only some of them, retire those models on รุ่นเสื้อ (Models) instead. How to do both is in Add, edit, retire and delete.

When a save is refused

If บันทึกไม่ได้ เพราะจะไม่เหลือเสื้อให้สั่งเลย หน้าใบเสนอราคาจะเปิดไม่ได้ (Cannot save: there would be no shirts left to order, and the quote screen could not open) appears at the bottom of the screen as you retire or delete a brand, the only models the quote screen can still use are this brand's. Add a model of another brand, or put one back on sale, first, and then retire or delete this brand. The messages every screen shares are in Add, edit, retire and delete.
